Pierce County CARES Act funding for Small Businesses

Small businesses are the bread and butter of our community. Locally, and nationally, they are some of the hardest hit businesses from ongoing closures, restrictions and fallout from the COVID-19 health crisis. Pierce County has put together some programs to help out our local businesses whether you reside in unincorporated county or within an incorporated city.

Forgiveable Loans – Working Capital to Help to You Stay in Business and Retain Employees

  • Small Business Relief Loan with Loan Forgiveness
    • Apply for loan of $1000 per full-time employee, up to 20 employees
    • Apply for loan forgiveness based on your workplace safety practices

Offset Costs for COVID-19 Safety Related Business Expenses

  • Apply for a grant to get reimbursed for up to 50% of expenses related to implementing safe start practices

Free PPE to Protect Employees and Customers

  • Request disposable, non-surgical masks and a no-touch infrared forehead thermometer
