City of Sumner to Give $2,500 Grants to Restaurants

SUMNER — The City of Sumner is offering $2500 Grants for Restaurants from our CARES Act funding to help them make it through the latest lock down restrictions. There’s no question that our traditional restaurants are being negatively impacted further. This is a straight grant for our dine-in restaurants—no strings attached , however we must spend this money by this Friday November 19th!!

Restaurants that qualify (located within City of Sumner limits with dine in options) will need fill out the attached form and send along with a W-9 no later than this Friday by 4pm in order to meet the Federal spending deadline. We apologize for the late notice, but we had been in Phase 2 and relied on other support including our social media grants, County’s forgivable loans and Restaurant Rally to support our restaurants. However, given Sunday’s announcement, we’re redirecting funds that would have supported other City expenses or went unused by our residents.

Again, all we need from you is to fill out this form completely along with your W-9 and send it via email to me at lanah@sumnerwa.gov as soon as possible so we can cut your checks next week to meet the Federal spending deadline.
